Winner Dutch Neonatal Chiesi Fellow Award 2016

Deedee Kommers (MD and PhD student at Industrial Design) received the award for best research presentation at the Dutch Neonatal Chiesi Fellow award on the 8th of April. This price is granted yearly during the national education conference for neonatology fellows and PhD students. This year the conference was held in Oegstgeest and hosted by the Leiden University Medical Center. Kommers presented the theoretical background and results of one of her research projects for which she works together with bio-medical engineer and PhD student Rohan Joshi. This research is supervised by Dr. Peter Andriessen, Dr. Carola van Pul, Dr. Louis Atallah, Prof. Loe Feijs, Prof. Guid Oei en Prof. Sidarto Bambang Oetomo, as it is part of the Impuls program, a collaboration between the Máxima Medical Center, the Eindhoven University of Technology and Philips Research.
